Marks, Ron
Ph.D., Dean and Professor, School of Social Work, Tulane University. Dr. Marks has been working to establish a global social work program at Tulane for several years. He has led programs to Central America, Cuba and, for the last eight years, to north India where he has been working directly with the Tibetan refugee community. These projects are designed to enable students to understand the challenges of providing social and health programming in resource poor parts of the world and, especially, to provide opportunities for students to grow personally and professionally and see the linkage between the two.
