Ph.D., is Professor and Dean of the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work. Dr. Godenzi served on CSWE’s Board of Directors and has been co-chair of NADD’s International Task Force. His research interests include interpersonal violence, peace and conflict, gender and society and HIV/AIDS. He has published extensively in the United States and in Europe, and has social work experience in a number of countries and fields. During his tenure as the Director of the Fribourg University School of Social Work in Switzerland, he coordinated a faculty and student exchange program (Socrates) that included university departments from six European countries. At Boston College, he established Global Practice as one of the School’s distinctive field-of-practice concentrations. Dr. Godenzi serves as secretary general of the International Consortium for Social Development and is the incoming president of the National Association of Deans and Directors of Schools of Social Work (NADD).
