Ph.D., Professor and Department Chairperson/Director, University of North Carolina, Greensboro/North Carolina A&T State University. Dr. Schmitz received her MSW from the University of Washington and her Ph.D. in social work from Ohio State University. She has extensive experience in the fields of leadership and administration. Much of her scholarship focuses on oppression, diversity, poverty, leadership, and interdisciplinary education and practice. She has numerous publications and has co-authored a book on Critical Multicultural Social Work.
